In the first episode of 2022, Talk Eastern Europe takes a comprehensive look at the situation on the border of Belarus and Poland, Lithuania and Latvia. Last year, the regime in Minsk headed by Alyaksandr Lukashenka, tried to artificially create a migration and border crisis for EU states as revenge for sanctions policies in the wake of the falsified 2020 elections and subsequent crackdowns. In this special episode, Maciek collects insights from two Polish experts (Filip Rudnik, Dominik Wilczewski) who followed the crisis closely. The discussions provide a special focus on the internal situations in Belarus and Lithuania.
