Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has led to huge geopolitical shifts in the region of Eastern Europe. One major development has been the application for membership in the European Union submitted by Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia. What are the chances that these three countries can get EU candidate status? And what does this mean for the EU’s Eastern Partnership initiative? And what about an alternative, as proposed by French President Emmanuel Macron?

To get some insight into these questions, Adam and Aga sat down Tania Marocchi, manager of the EaP Index at the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (Brussels) and Sergiy Gerasymchuk, Deputy Executive Director at the Foreign Policy Council "Ukrainian Prism" (Kyiv).
